Become a Volunteer

Driven by volunteerism, the Getzville Fire Company, an all-volunteer, non-profit effort welcomes the participation of it's neighbors. An integral part of the Getzville Community for over 90 years, GFC was founded by community leaders and neighbors who banded together to solve a need for fire protection and emergency medical services in a growing community.

Our fire district serves Getzville, the surrounding neighborhoods, including the north campus of the University of Buffalo and the larger community of the town of Amherst as a whole. Our membership is drawn from volunteer men and women, 18 years and older who live within the district.
