Water & Ice Rescue

Getzville Fire Company is one of only a handful or more emergency services agencies in Erie County, which trains, equips, and supports a water and ice rescue team. Rescue divers and support personnel train in all sorts of conditions year-round. Our firefighters who have taken on this additional challenge put in quite a few additional hours preparing and training and are ready in the event of a water or ice emergency.

Working closely with other dive teams in the vacinity, our divers and tenders prepare to work in all depths, environments, and weather conditions prevalent to the surrounding area.
